Our History

Ullovu Secondary School started operating in March 2021. The school is the 2nd high school in the township of Illovu., opened due to the rising pressure in enrollment in the neighboring high schools, especially Siyabonga High, Amanzimtoti High, and Kingsway High. The school started with only grades 8 and 9. It started as an English-medium school. In 2023,
the school offered IsiZulu HL in all grades, after consultations with parents, as guided by the learner and educator profile, as well as learner performance in the two main languages. In 2022, a permanent school principal was appointed, following due processes. The school has grown in learner enrollment and grades over the years. In 2024, the school offered its first Grade 12 class.
