A PROMISING START - GRADE 8D RECOGNISED FOR EXCELLENCE

ULLOVU – In their first year of high school, Grade 8D learners at Ullovu Secondary School have already given the school a reason to celebrate, receiving the Capitec Foundation Hub Class Award on Wednesday, 21 October 2026. Presented by the Capitec Foundation, the award recognises the class's outstanding attendance, positive behavior, responsible resource management, strong mindset, and consistent effort.

It is particularly heartwarming to see the school's youngest learners earning recognition so early in their high school journey. Transitioning into high school comes with new expectations, responsibilities, and opportunities for growth. For Grade 8D to receive this award in their first year highlights the importance of establishing positive habits and embracing the values that support a successful schooling experience.

The recognition extends beyond academic achievement, celebrating the attitudes and everyday actions that help create an environment in which learners can thrive. By encouraging these qualities from the beginning, the award reinforces habits that can serve learners throughout their academic journey and beyond.

Adding to the excitement of the occasion, the learners received gifts from the Capitec Foundation during the presentation. The gesture gave the class another reason to celebrate while encouraging its learners to maintain the positive standards for which they have been recognised.

As Grade 8D continues its journey at Ullovu Secondary School, may its learners carry this spirit of commitment, responsibility and excellence into the grades ahead. May this achievement be the beginning of many more milestones, reminding them that the habits they build today can shape the successes they celebrate tomorrow.

Congratulations to Grade 8D on this well-deserved recognition. May you continue to shine, grow together, and carry this spirit of excellence throughout your years at Ullovu.
