ULLOVU – The male staff members of Ullovu Secondary School took time to celebrate and appreciate their female colleagues on Friday, 14 August, as part of the school’s commemoration of Women’s Day.

The celebration provided an opportunity for the male staff to recognise and honour the women who form an important part of the Ullovu Secondary School community. Each female staff member was presented with a flower and chocolate as a gesture of appreciation.
The celebration continued with the women being treated to a braai, accompanied by drinks, creating an opportunity for staff to relax, connect and enjoy the occasion together.
The gesture reflected the spirit of appreciation that forms part of Women’s Month, recognising the contribution of women not only within the classroom but also across the wider school community.

The celebration also highlighted the importance of creating a school environment where staff members appreciate and support one another. Through the simple gestures of flowers, chocolates, food and fellowship, the male staff ensured that their female colleagues felt valued and celebrated.
As Ullovu Secondary School continues its #USSWomen | Women Who Inspire campaign, the celebration added a personal dimension to the school's Women's Month commemorations, honouring the women who contribute to the daily life and continued growth of the school.
The occasion was a reminder that celebrating women extends beyond a single day, with appreciation, respect and support remaining important throughout the year.
